A History of Native Elk in Mount Rainier National Park

Originally completed in 1984 as a contract research report for the National Park Service in Mount Rainier National Park, Paul Schullery's historical study of Mount Rainier elk was commissioned in order to clarify lingering questions about the presence or absence of elk in the area prior to the creation of the park and the development of the region by Euroamerican settlers. In 2010, Paul arranged to have the entire report made available at no charge on the National Park Service's history website, http://www.nps.gov/history. The report is also available from Amazon.com, both as a paperback book and as a Kindle book, for a nominal fee.
